Taming the beast and conquering the Sentinal
Wednesday 19th March 2014
Roughly 5.5m at 16-18 seconds was predicted for Wednesday, one of the first glimpses of what would be in store for big wave surfing in South Africa this winter. The Dungeons crew headed out for a day dodging wide sets and getting their lung capacity back up to the usual winter volume. With the likes and amoung others of Frank Solomon, Josh Redman, Jeremy Johnson, Jason Hayes, and James Lowe in the water some waves were definitely going to be ridden. These locals seemed to be frothing for some big wave action to hit Dungeons after what seems to be a short summer following the late swell to hit the Boland and Coastlines of South Africa at the end of 2013.
Here are a collection of images of Wednesdays action, all taken from the Sentinal.
